NYFW Day 1: Short Suit

Hi loves!! Finally have an outfit post from New York Fashion Week!  I have hated not being able to blog every day like usual but I can't even describe how crazy things have been.  When I get home I don't want to get dressed or wear heels for an entire week lol.  I got my images back from the first 3 days of outfits so they will be coming all week.  I wore this on the first day to the Nicholas K & Desigual shows.  I've always wanted a printed short suit so I was really excited about this one and it came just in time for NYFW!

Short Suit: C/O L.Mae Boutique (here & here)/ Top: H&M/ Shoes: Charlotte Russe (shop here)
Bag: OASAP/ Necklace: OIA Jules/ Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe/ Bangles: BeBe

I mentioned previously that I was really stressing over these outfits.  I wanted to stand out but still remain true to myself and my style while doing so.  I tried to switch up the looks each day to show a different style and side of me and hopefully I have been able to achieve that.  So for this first day I went with a business chic look with this short suit from L.Mae Boutique.  Instead of wearing the blazer, I decided to put it off my shoulders which gave it a different effect. I wanted to bring out the pink in the print which is why I went with this top and then to accentuate the black trim, I did these shoes and this bag.  I am obsessed with these shoes but man do they hurt my feet after walking for a few hours!

Outside Lincoln Center is completely insane.  There's a ton of photographers/paparazzi waiting to snap pics of everyone.  It's definitely not something that I was used to but it's been a wonderful experience.
There is so much amazing street style and it's so easy to spot bloggers and celebs.  I've met so many people so far and I still have a few more days left!  I hope you enjoyed these pics from my first outfit.  Next post will be about the event that I hosted.  I've still got to share images from the shows, the rest of my looks and I will probably do a NYFW diary post as well.  Lots to come!  Thanks for all of your support I love you guys <3

And a special thanks to Ryan for shooting with me the first 3 days!

HELLO From NYFW!

Hi my loves!!
It's only been day 3 of New York Fashion Week and things have been so hectic.  I am exhausted and my feet hate me but I am so happy to be here and experiencing all of this.  I am staying at the
Empire Hotel by myself, so for the most part I have been alone but I have bumped into so many people that I know and I've also met some new ones as well.  Luckily the hotel is located right across the street from Lincoln Center so I've been able to come back as often as I need to in between shows.

Hopefully you have been keeping up with my posts on instagram.  I created the hashtag #natyatnyfw so all my photos from here will be there if you want to check them out!  I've done three outfit shoots so far and as soon as I get the pics I promise to start posting.  Just to give you an update and an idea of what you can see on the blog soon, so far I have attended the Nicholas K, Desigual, Noon By Noor, Rebecca Minkoff and Academy Of Art Shows.  I have about 4 or 5 more to go.  I also hosted my very first event on the 5th which was a huge success and I met so many amazing girls who follow my blog. LOVED them all!  I can't wait to share more of that soon.  It was such an incredible experience!

For now, here are some photos from my amazing hotel room.  I have to say that everyone here at the Empire Hotel is amazing.  They upgraded me from a standard room to a junior double suit which was so nice and I definitely needed the extra space for all my stuff.  They were also so kind to bring up a rolling rack for all of my clothes which has made it much easier to get ready every day.  Last night I hung out on the rooftop for a drink after my shows. It's one of my favorite rooftops in the city.  I swear if I could move in here I would!

Promise to post outfit pics soon and make sure to follow on instagram for constant updates during NYFW.  And a huge thank you to the Empire, especially Alyson and Michelle, for all of your help during my stay!

The New Crew

Now that it's September, it's time to start thinking about layering and transitioning pieces into the fall.  So for today's post, that's exactly what I am doing with Old Navy!

Sweater: C/O Old Navy (here)/ Pants: Love Culture (similar)/ Shoes: Mandee (similar)
Ring: BEBE/ Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe

I recently went to Old Navy's Holiday Preview and fell in love with their sweaters. They're actually part sweater part sweatshirt which makes them extremely comfy and cozy.  They call them the
NEW CREW :) They've taken a great basic piece for fall/winter and transformed it into something that's a little more fun by adding embellishments and other cool designs as well as graphic prints.  The added details have turned these sweaters into a great statement piece for this season.  I especially love the pretty silver gems on the one I have on.  I decided to dress mine up a little and paired it with white pants because I am all for wearing white AFTER Labor Day.  I went with these silver shoes to help accent the pretty embellishments.
Old Navy is having a sale on their sweaters from now till September 11th starting at $15!  From embellishments, to graphics, and stripes, this is something you don't want to miss out on.

I am so happy that I was able to do a new outfit post.  I took these photos right before coming to NY!

Summer Style RECAP

Happy Tuesday babes!
I never do recaps of my outfits each month, but since this week is super crazy and I have no new outfit posts yet, I figured that it would be a good time to do one.  This summer was truly a productive and amazing one for me.  I didn't get to travel or go to the beach much, but I really put a lot more time into my blog.  I still can't believe how quickly time has passed by and there's only a few more months left of 2013.  What a year it's been so far!  Although it's still pretty warm out, fall is approaching in 2 weeks.  So here's a look back at some of my outfits from this summer.

Sorry for such a short post but I have to start packing as I head into NYC tomorrow! There will be a ton of new outfits coming soon :)
Make sure to check out my post on Fearless Fashionista today! It's all about wearing white AFTER Labor Day. Thanks so much for checking out my blog each week, I can never thank you enough for your amazing support!

A Love Affair With Blazers & Bellinis

Happy Labor Day!  I hope that you all enjoyed this long weekend.  I kept it really low key trying to prep everything for fashion week and I am still not done yet. AH!  I seriously am such a procrastinator. But on another note, today's post is something different.  I did a fun little shoot in Hoboken this past Friday after having lunch with my friend Jaclynn, who is about to enter the blogging world!  She is a publicist (an amazing one by the way) and we have both been helping each other out.
The event that I am hosting on the 5th is also going to be the launch of her blog "Blazers & Bellinis"  She is going to focus her blog on fashion, lifestyle and the art of brunch.  It will be about dressing for your figure and empowering women no matter the shape, race or income.  Love!

Here are a few of the photos that we did.  We just wanted some cute candids and fun shots :)

On me: H&M Skirt & Jacket, Furor Moda Top, Charlotte Russe Shoes & Sunglasses

On Jaclynn: ASOS Curve Dress, Forever21 Blazer, Rampage Shoes, Ray-Ban Sunglasses
 Sienna Ray Bag

It's always fun to do collabs with other bloggers.  I think it's so important to be supportive of one another and help build each other up in a positive way.  I'm sure that I will have more collabs with Jaclynn in the near future.  Her blog is not up yet, but will be launching this week. For now you can keep up to date with her on her Facebook page. She will be posting more photos from our little shoot!

Here's our event details for the 5th.  I hope to see some of you there.

I leave Wednesday for NYC so I don't think I will have any outfit posts before then.  But I will try my best for at least one!

And CONGRATS to the winner of the giveaway, REBECCA!

Thank you all so much for entering!
Have a great day
