Chill Day

Happy Tuesday my lovelies!  It's a MAJOR chill day for me.  I'm not used to really dressing down so when I do I feel a little weird.  I love heels and boots but sometimes it's nice to just kick back in some kicks! I didn't really get great shots with this outfit today but I loved these 2 and combined them into one photo.

I went with all black.  You can never go wrong with that.  I've got on legging style pants from H&M, Target tank and H&M faux leather jacket.  I'm wearing my Aldo Maxwells.  I haven't worn these since the last time I posted about them.  They're so comfy.  I thought it would be fun to take some pics with my BEATS headphones.  This was one of the best purchases I ever made.  I've got minimal accessories.. just my MK watch and Suite201 leather bracelet that you can't really see, small black earrings, 2 rings and my shades.  A very simple, laid back outfit for a sunny Tuesday!

I purchased a new closet shoe rack yesterday and now I can actually see all of my shoes!  My other one made it difficult to see them all. So I posted a picture of it on my instagram (make sure to follow my pics on there: username is natybaby) and I was asked where I got it from and how much because it's a nice size and holds a lot of shoes.  I got it from Target for $26.99 and was able to fit 6 pairs of shoes on each row.  Not too bad!  It unfortunately doesn't hold every single pair I own, and it's kind of long so my closet can only fit one, but I'm so happy with it.  Here's a photo of it:

Have a great day!! xoxo

Spring Fever

This weather is driving me crazy!  It was so beautiful out and I have a serious case of spring fever.  I love layers, boots and all types of fall/winter fashion but I am so ready to start dressing for the spring & summer.  In fact, I already have been a little bit lol. I have no patience.  I'm sure some of you agree.  I was finally able to shoot outside again.  This is one of those outfits that I literally pulled out of my you know what.  You ever put something together so fast and last minute but it all comes together and works out great?  That's what happened today.  I'm happy with the outcome :)

I'm wearing my tan/khaki colored skinnies from H&M.  They were fresh out of the wash today and fit me tighter than last time.  I have on a white tank from Target that I paired with a denim crop jacket that I have had for YEARS.  It's one of those items that I never wanted to part with and I have to admit, this is the first time I have worn it in a very long time.  I couldn't even tell you where I got it from because I don't even remember.  I'm wearing my wooden heel Steve Madden lace up booties that I finally took out of my closet again.  I have been wanting to wear them lately and just didn't get around to it.

This snakeskin bag is from ShoeDazzle.  It's another item that I haven't used in quite some time.  I thought the neutral print of this bag went perfect with this outfit.  It was a nice little touch to bring everything together.  I think this is the best way to incorporate prints into your wardrobe without overdoing it.  I know that some people aren't really big on prints or are not sure how to wear them the right way, so you could totally do something like this!
My accessories are this statement necklace from Forever21, H&M charm bracelet, big chain ring from Gypsy Warrior and these gold bands from H&M.  Lately I have been stacking 4 bands and wearing them on my ring fingers.  I like the way it looks.

I have been wearing my hair in a bun for the past couple of days.  It's just the easiest hair style and requires no effort on my end.  Now that my hair is getting much longer it takes forever to blow dry and I hate it!

This was definitely more of a spring outfit then winter.. but like I said.. I've got spring fever :)  Must take advantage of any warm weather that comes my way.  I hope you are all enjoying this day so far!!

ITEM FOR SALE

I'm selling another item!  This is a faux leather metallic gold jacket from Arden B that I literally wore once for a photo shoot.  I've held on to it thinking that I might wear it again and I just never do.  It's in perfect condition and it's great for spring & fall seasons.  It can be worn different ways too.  Size XS.

Fashion Event

Last night I went to a mini fashion event at House Of DeCicco Salon in Ridgwood.  It's such a beautiful salon. Their stylists did hair and makeup for the models and the fashion was provided by Suite201!  The event's purpose was to showcase different hair & makeup styles for prom, semi formals, sweet16, etc., as well as the different party dresses that we carry at Suite201 for all different occasions. They also wore some of the jewelry that we carry and headbands too. So they put on a little fashion show and  I think it was so cute and the girls did a great job.  There was a DJ and some food and treats too :)

I wore black trousers from H&M, my puffy sleeve Zara top, H&M black and gold belt and my simple black pumps.  I'm wearing a thrifted medallion necklace, MK watch, black & gold shoulder bag from Forever21 and Sophisto lipstick from MAC.  The weather last night was gross and I was having such a bad hair day, so I curled my ends and put my hair into a big bun.  It was a very simple chic ensemble.  I love wearing outfits like this.

Here's some photos from last night.  The iPhone is not great for action shots so they are kind of blurry.

These were my favorites! They're wearing 2 of our Naven dresses!

I hope that you're all enjoying this weekend so far.  The wind today is out of control.  I stopped by a boutique today and picked up a new ring, envelope clutch, and tunic dress.  I love new things :)
Happy Saturday! xo

Button Down Switch Up

Another day not being able to shoot outside!  I didn't really dress for this rainy day.  I had no idea it was going to rain until I walked outside my house this morning.  I guess I should start paying more attention to the weather!  Since I found that amazing vintage necklace yesterday I wanted to wear it asap.  I recently bought this button down crop top from H&M and I knew that it would go perfect together.  Usually when I wear button downs, they're longer length and I almost always wear it tucked in, sleeves rolled up and the first 2 buttons undone.  But this time, I went with a little bit more of a preppy look.  I buttoned it all the way up and left the sleeves down to my wrists.

I'm wearing my skinny black pants also from H&M, bakers wedges, studded clutch and a few rings.  This look is simple but a little different than I what normally do. I really love the metallic color of this top.  My only complaint is the material.  It gets wrinkled so fast.  I swear I need a pocket steamer or something! I keep buying these tops that are super hard to iron.

Today at the store I did a little styling with 2 different pieces that we have so that I could shown the various wears of wearing them.  I wanted to share it with you guys.  This is a FEEL THE PIECE cardigan and a MISS FINCH button down.

A lot of people don't think to belt their cardigans and they could look really cute paired with leggings or a skirt.  They are also really cute tied up to the waist. You know by now how much I love button downs and their versatility.  Whether you tie it at the waist, wear it long over some skinnies, or tuck it in with sleeves rolled up, there's just so many ways.  So I hope this gave you some ideas!  Enjoy the rest of this rainy night.  Happy Friday lovies. XO.

Relaxed Boho

How is it already Friday tomorrow?  Well maybe I shouldn't question it and just be happy for another weekend!  It was so beautiful outside today and I definitely have spring fever.  Fall and winter are my favorite seasons for fashion, but I am so ready for some steady warm weather.

My outfit today was very relaxed and a little Boho inspired with my top and necklace.  I'm wearing an off the shoulder knitted top that I actually got from Target.  Sometimes I find some great pieces there.  I'm also wearing a Target tank underneath.  I have this tank in multiple colors and they are probably the best tanks I own. They stretch and they don't shrink.

I paired them with my slightly ripped jeans from Forever21 and over the knee rustic boots from Mandee. My accessories are this thrifted statement necklace, wrap around belt bracelet, rustic ring and double finger cross ring.  My earrings are really small studs.  I'm using my oversized envelope clutch from NYC Expressions.

Since it was still breezy out, I wore my faux leather hooded jacket from Mandee.  Another great find.  I have on my Ray-Bans too like always.  I have been searching for some new shades.  Hopefully I will find another amazing pair like these!  I also threw my hair up in a big bun to go along with this relaxed look.

Sometimes I sell clothes at a local thrift shop and every once in awhile I find amazing jewelry pieces there like the necklace I have on today.  I went there this afternoon and got my hands on another fab necklace.  This one is a vintage Sara Coventry and I am obsessed with it! I will probably wear it tomorrow or this weekend :)

Do any of you shop at thrift stores and have you found any amazing items??
I'm hoping to get some great shots of my outfit tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of your night! <3

Geek Chic

I apologize for the lack of outfits the past few days.  I had an appendix scare and these past couple of days were a little bit of a nightmare for me.  But I am feeling better today and back in the store.  I wasn't able to do a mini shoot but I have a few pics that I shot of myself to show my outfit of the day.
Since I am still not feeling 100% I wanted to be comfortable today and what better way to do that then in a pair of leggings!

I have on basic stretch leggings that I paired with a creme colored loose fitted tee and my blazer.  The shirt actually looks wider in this pic than it is in real life.  All of these pieces are from H&M.  To add a little bit of edge I put on my spike studded flats from ShoeDazzle.   I'm wearing a funky necklace that was a great find at Forever21 and my geek chic glasses.  These are great to add some nerdy sex appeal to your outfit if that makes any sense lol. I recently broke these glasses and had to order another pair.  It took forever for them to come in but they were worth the wait.  I am obsessed with them.

I got some good feedback from a couple of guys about my men's fashion post.  I am so happy!  Just don't forget to post feedback here on my blog too.  All comments are appreciated and I am thankful that I get so many views on here each day.  I love that you are all interested in my posts!!  Hope your day was great!!

Men's Fashion

Recently I have been asked by a few different guys to do a post on here about men's fashion.  I know that this is a women's fashion blog, but I thought this was a really great idea!  It gives me the opportunity to try something a little different.  I also see that some of my followers on here are men, so this post is for you!!  Also, if there is anytime that I come across something for men's fashion that I want to share then I will definitely make a post about it.

I love a guy who can dress.  I know some guys with great fashion sense and I love seeing all of their outfits.  My biggest piece of advice, especially if you are still trying to find your own personal style, is to just switch it up and see what works best for you.  This post will be broken down into 2 parts: Male Style Icons and upcoming spring/summer trends. Obviously everyone has different taste in clothes, so some of these might not be of any interest to you, but try to keep an open mind and remember this is a woman's opinion :)

When searching online for photos of my picks for style icons, I came across the site fashionbeans.com and found these great collages.  They have a lot more style icons on there with an in depth description and breakdown of each and how to get their look. So if you want to know more about any of these guys, I suggest checking out that site for more details.  And the one for Scott I put together myself. Here are 5 of my favorites in no particular order.  I hope they give you some fashion inspiration.

STYLE ICONS

1. Ryan Gosling

Whether he's in a tuxedo, trousers or a pair of jeans he is all about a slim cut.  His style has evolved through out the past couple of years and he knows how to dress simple and be refined.  I love his casual looks just as much as his formal ones.  Everything he wears fits his body type and he knows how to switch it up.  I love the way he dresses.

 2. Scott Disick

Love him or hate him, the guy can dress, hands down.  Kourtney is actually one of my top female style icons so it was only right for me to list Scott as one of my picks for male icons.  He's known for wearing bold suits but he also has casual looks on lock.  He makes it look easy.  He takes "preppy" to another level.

3. Ed Westwick

He plays Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl and just like his character, his sense of style is right on point.  He knows how to dress sharp but he still keeps it edgy.  His casual looks are mostly about v-necks and graphic tees paired with some slim jeans and sometimes a blazer or leather jacket.  And when he dresses formal, it's all about a nice tailored suit, pocket square and tie.

4. Kanye West

I love that he wears whatever he wants whenever he wants.  To me that is the true definition of style. You don't have to follow the rules, you create your own and set trends.  And he's great with accessories, whether it's a scarf, bow tie, or a pair of glasses, he knows how to add that extra touch to his outfits.  He's very versatile.

5. David Beckham

He's another one who's style has changed over the years and I really like what I am seeing from him.  Whether he is dressed up or dressed down, he always looks put together well without trying too hard.  That is definitely the key.  He keeps it simple and makes statements in a more subtle way.  Just like the site fashionbeans said "His appearance appears both classically tailored and yet the epitome of the modern man" and I couldn't agree more!

Do you guys agree with my favorite style icon choices?  Who are some of your favorite best dressed men?

SPRING/SUMMER TRENDS

Fashion week just ended and they showcased upcoming trends for fall & winter of this year.  But since winter is almost over and spring is right around the corner, I decided to share with you a couple of trends to look out for this spring/summer season. [Photo Credits: Swide.com/ MillionLooks.com/ FashionLatest.net]

Bright & Bold Colors

BOTTEGA VENETA

The color scheme for men has definitely expanded.  Just like for women, there's going to be a lot of bright & bold colors like orange and vivid blues. You can create outfits sticking to one particular color or be a little more daring and create a combo of different hues.

NEUTRALS

VERSACE

DOLCE & GABBANA

Neutrals are the safer way to go and will still be making a statement next season.  I love the sunbleached photo collage because it's filled with linen and cotton separates and gives a very beachy/laid back vibe.  Something you all should own is a plain white shirt.  It's a very versatile item that can be worn either casual or dressed up.   Tuck it in loosely on one side like David Beckham or wear it underneath a leather jacket or blazer with some jeans.  Just please don't wear it long and past your knees. It doesn't look good lol

PRINTS & PATTERNS

GUCCI

Just like bold colors, you will be seeing a lot of bold prints.  Stripes, plaid and checks will be very popular as well as tropical printed shirts.  If you are a little more daring and fashion forward, I suggest you experiment with this trend!

LEATHER & SEUDE

I think the best way to add some edge to your outfit is with a leather/biker style jacket.  You don't have to stick to only black either.  Another way to go is rocking a suede jacket.  They were huge on the runway and made a real statement.  They will give your outfit a nice relaxed look.

MESH KNITWEAR

Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana

See through mesh knitwear is like the male version of lace.  Just like lace is a huge trend for women, so is mesh for men.  They're a great way to keep cool and show a little bit of skin on those warmer days.  In the NET photo collage, I love the look of the mesh jacket over a button down.  It's a different look but I like it.

Of course there are other trends but these are some that stood out to me.  Do you think you will be trying out any of these?

I hope you liked my first post on men's fashion!  Let me know what you think!
