Mandee's Holiday LookBook

When Mandee reached out to me, I was really excited to work with them! They sent me a sneak peak of their Holiday LookBook "Rescue Holiday" so that I could check it out before everyone else.  I picked my favorite pieces and they sent them to me to style and wear on my blog.  Pretty cool right?!   Everything is really versatile and can dressed up or down.  The past two days we had gorgeous weather so I took full advantage to take all of these photos outside.  I did my best to give a good variety of styles.  Hope it gives you a little bit of inspiration! 

Outfit 1: Tweed Jacket

I absolutely fell in love with this cropped tweed jacket!  Tweed is right on trend this season and it makes a great statement piece for any outfit.  This jacket would look just as nice with a pair of jeans if worn more casually.  I went with a classic black and white theme and added a red lip for a little pop of color.  This reminds me of the tweed jackets from Chanel!  Tweed and peplum... does it get any better than that?!

Leather jackets are all the rage this season!  They are the perfect piece to add a little edge to any ensemble.  I wanted to do something more casual and laid back with this outfit so I went with a dark pair of skinnies, simple tee, and heels.  I really love the studded detail because it makes the jacket stand out more and easier to transition into a dressier look.

Who says you can't wear white, bright colors and florals during the Fall?!  I am all for it.  I love the shades of purple & burgundy in this print.  I have to admit that styling these pants was a little bit of a challenge for me.  I had tried 2 others ways and they just weren't translating the right way on camera. (fashion blogger problems lol)  But like they say, 3rd time's a charm and I am really happy with this because it's such a fun and colorful look. Floral prints and winter whites are a big trend right now.

The only thing better than a leather moto jacket is a leather HOODIE, especially when it comes in other colors!  This oxblood shade is perfect for the holiday season and a fall/winter MUST HAVE color. I wanted to do another casual outfit so I paired this with my slightly ripped boyfriend jeans, low heels and a printed scarf that just so happened to match perfectly.

I decided not to do a full outfit post for this so that the focus would just be on the necklace.

Isn't it amazing?! It is such a great statement piece and will make any outfit stand out.  I love the details on it.  It's a mix of chain and stones.  These style necklaces are a big hit right now and absolutely perfect for the holiday season!

My Birthday Celebration

Hey Loves!  Last night I celebrated my birthday with a couple of friends.  We went to dinner at 340 Grill and stayed afterwards for drinks and dancing :)  I had such a great time!  Usually every year for my birthday I buy an expensive dress and new pair of shoes to treat myself.  But this year, I really didn't want to go too crazy with spending money.  So I got a fab new dress for only $20 :)

I love lace and I love peplum so this dress was perfect!  To style it up a bit I added my gold spike belt, red pumps and a red lip!

November Wonderland

Happy Thursday dolls!  First let me start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone for the birthday wishes on my last post.  I appreciate it so much! It's been so crazy over here in Jersey lately.  Last week we got a hurricane and yesterday it snowed! Yes, snow in November.  Last night it covered the streets.

 Anyway, today is what I like to call one of my "fill in" outfits.  I wonder if any of you bloggers know what I mean by this lol Sometimes I have my outfits & blog posts planned out, and other times I have no idea what I am wearing or posting until that morning.

I wanted to do some layering but still make it chic and stylish.  I'm actually wearing a sweater dress but I tucked it into this skirt to make it look like a top.  This skirt is such a bright fun color. I wore it once in the summer, but this is a great example of how you can still rock those summer skirts into the fall season.  Just throw on some tights and do a little layering!

To bring the whole look together I put on my favorite belt.  I seriously can't get enough of it.  I wanted to add some print to break up the solid colors so I added this scarf.  I love the combo!

I got this parka style jacket last winter and I really love it.  It can be worn casually or dressed up so it's perfect.  I'm wearing my favorite booties too! I think it might be time for a new pair.

How amazing is this bag from OASAP?!  I am kind of obsessed with the gold pyramid studs and twist lock.  It can be worn as a handbag and it also comes with a strap so you can put it over your shoulder. It's a great statement piece to add to any outfit. Gold details are my favorite! You can check out more details on this fab bag here!

It's My Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! 

Another year older. Another year wiser. 

Another year to create. Another year to inspire. 

I feel so very blessed to have such amazing people in my life as well as some incredible followers! I have received so much birthday love today and it's been super overwhelming and humbling.  The messages that some people have sent me have truly touched my heart.  I wanted to do a special birthday post since this is my first birthday while being a fashion blogger, so I took a lot of photos with a bunch of balloons :)

I wanted something super girly and fun today so what better color to go with than pink?!  It makes me feel really young! It honestly doesn't feel like my birthday this year but I am embracing this new chapter in my life and I am really looking forward to everything that it will bring me!  Today will be spent with family and the celebration with my friends will be this weekend.

As I look back on this past year, it makes me realize how much I have grown and all of things that I have accomplished. I'm proud of myself.  Each step I take is towards my future.  I've always been a dreamer and I will continue to do my best to make those dreams come to life. 

They say you're only as old as you feel - and today I feel like I am 21 again!  I made a promise to myself to not take things too seriously and to continue to have fun with my life each day.  

And in the end, it's not the years in your life.  It's the life in your years.

One Grey Day

Another weekend is coming to a close.  I still can't believe that we are already in November.  So crazy how quickly time passes by.  The temperatures over here have been dropping, but today was actually not too cold.  It was the perfect weather for an outfit like this. I just wanted something cute, simple and casual.

I absolutely love sweaters during the fall and winter seasons.  They're so cozy and can be worn in cute and casual ways or you can even dress them up a bit.  When ShopExcessBaggage reached out to me to send this Iso Sweater by One Grey Day, I was really looking forward to styling it.  I actually don't own many sweaters which is something I should stock up on this season. I really like the two toned colors and little cut out print at the bottom. It's super cute and extremely comfortable. There's lots of other great items on their site so make sure to check them out!

Eyeshadow: NAKED Urban Decay

I decided to pair this sweater with my navy blue pants.  I haven't worn them in awhile.  I really like the mix of different blues together.  I have on these light grey boots that I got last year.  These have a lower heel so they're great for casual days! Even though they are a neutral color, they still stand out against the blue shades and help bring it all together.

This last photo was one of MANY.  I tried to throw the leaves up in the air and get the perfect shot and let's just say that it really wasn't working out lol so this was the best take.  Playing with leaves brought out my inner child :) 

2 more days till my birthday!  Still no idea how I will be celebrating next weekend but I am looking forward to it!

A Wonderful Wedding

Hi loves!  I've missed you all.  I am trying to get back into my normal routine especially with blogging. I had a wedding yesterday for one of my close friends so I definitely wanted to share with you my outfit and other photos from the celebration.  I am so happy that the wedding still happened for her because she went through a lot to still make it work after the hurricane hit.  After planning a wedding for 2 years, she had to change venues and plan the reception in one day and literally the day before the wedding! But everything happens for a reason and it really was such an amazing wedding and so much fun.  I think we all needed that after this super stressful week!

I literally bought this dress 2 days before the wedding.  I fell in love with it because of the color and it's peplum!  Perfect for a wedding.  I went with simple nude pumps and gold accessories. For those always asking how I curl my hair, I use the wand!  It really is magical :)

Post Hurricane Sandy

As you all probably know by now, NJ and NY area was hit really bad with Hurricane Sandy.  I am thankful that my family and I are safe as well as our house and belongings.  The worst that happened to me personally was just losing internet, cable and phone connections.  For that I am thankful. My heart goes out to all those who had a real loss.  People's homes were blown away and damaged from all the flooding.  There's power outages in many areas still and trees have fallen all over the streets and even on top of some houses.  The area is still a mess.  There's literally not many gas stations open around here and that ones that are have over an hour wait.  A lot of banks are closed down as well as all of the local stores.  It's so heart breaking to see all of the damage and complications that the hurricane left behind. 

I've been having blogging separation anxiety due to lack of internet the past few days.  I was also stuck in my home all week until yesterday because there was obviously nowhere to go.  I didn't think it would be appropriate to have new outfit posts during this chaotic and devastating week anyway.  I do however have a wedding tomorrow for a close friend that thankfully is still going to happen.  So bear with me loves, new outfit posts coming soon!  I just wanted to fill you all in since I haven't been on here all week.  I hope you are all doing well, especially the ones who had to experience Hurricane Sandy.
