Black Maxi With A Pop Of Turquoise

So happy that we have another beautiful day.  I'm trying to enjoy it and take advantage because next week it's supposed to be raining again.  The good news though is that it should be beautiful all weekend!  I got a request to do a post about rainy day attire and how to still look cute... so I will probably do that next week!

Today I'm wearing another maxi dress only this time it's more dressed up.  It's also super long on me and I had to wear high platform shoes.  Even still, it's kind of long but since I can walk without tripping, I'm good.  All I have to do is pick it up a little at the sides :)

Maxi Dress: Forever21
Shoes: Chinese Laundry
Bag: Gypsy Warrior (Urban Expressions)
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Lipgloss: MAC Pink Poodle

I've been saving this dress for summer, another outfit I wanted to wear with my floppy hat, but again I am impatient.  I switched up the way I decided to wear this too.  I went with my multi colored peep toe platforms that I won from Bakers to add a nice pop of color.  Since there's turquoise in the shoe, I decided to go with this turquoise bag that I got from Gypsy Warrior a few months ago.  It's by Urban Expressions and I love this.  You can also wear it as a shoulder bag because it comes with a long gold chain.  I've been waiting for the perfect time to use this bag and finally I am putting it to use.  This is such an amazing color for this season!

Wearing my H&M cuff again.  I seriously love this bracelet because of the chains attached.  I have on my new gold earrings & ring from Forever21.  The accessories there are so inexpensive & they always have the cutest pieces.  As you can clearly see on a lot of recent posts, I love this necklace too :)
I still have on Essie Watermelon and it's time for me to switch up my polish today.  I'm thinking about putting on Turquoise & Caicos, one of my favorites!

I think it's great to add a nice pop of color when you are wearing all neutrals.  It will give your outfit a different effect and make you stand out more.
So how do you ladies feel about maxi style dresses?  I really think that they're great for spring & summer time.  They're perfect to dress up or down.  I need to get more that I can wear with flat sandals.  So again, to all of my short girls like me, don't be hesitant to wear long dresses because of your height.  You can totally pull it off! :)
